Fees 

At PAWS Psychology, our psychologists are proud members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare Australia.

We are pleased to offer therapy sessions that include our therapy dogs at no additional cost, enhancing the overall therapeutic experience.

Our session fees cover 50 minutes of direct therapeutic interaction, along with non-billable professional time dedicated to case notes, preparation, and follow-up.

Please note that requests for reports or letters may incur a fee, depending on their complexity and length. Most NDIS progress reports can be covered under NDIS funding. Standard consultation fees apply to brief letters, while more complex or detailed letters may cost more. In some cases, fees for very brief letters may be waived. Additional requests for updates or communications with other professionals, completed outside regular client sessions, may also incur fees.

Psychological Treatment In Clinic

  • Private/Self Funded: $240
  • Medicare/Mental Health Care Plan: $240 (Medicare rebate of $96.65 - out of pocket cost of $143.35)
  • Private Health Insurance: Check your rebate amount with your health fund
  • NDIS Plan/Self Managed: As per NDIS fee structure with no cost to the client

Please note: The Australian Psychological Society (APS) has recommended a standard fee of $311 for a 45-60 minute psychological consultation for the 2024-2025 financial year.

Cancellation

At PAWS Psychology, we understand that life can be unpredictable. However, to ensure the smooth operation of our services and fairness to all clients, we have established the following cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations within 48 hours: The full session fee will be charged for any appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time or for any 'no show' appointments. 
  • Cancellations within 24 to 48 hours: Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the session fee.

Please note that all outstanding fees must be settled before scheduling any future appointments. These fees will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
